How It Works for the Trainer

This section covers how the Locator works and how the list of personal trainers are selected. The Locator is based on software code that uses the longitude and latitude of the ZIP codes. Each trainer is allowed to sign up for free but are encouraged to check out our Paid Memberships and the benefits that provides.  We're sure you'll find it's an excellent value when you compare it to some of the other sites.

1. All Memberships register a ZIP code when listing.  Paid Memberships can purchase additional ZIP codes to be listed under as required.  Trainers will enter the maximum number of miles they will travel from their ZIP codes.  For more specific details on the ZIP code search logic and techniques to cover specific areas, read here.

2. Each ZIP code will never contain more than 200 registered trainers; up to 50 Free Memberships and up to 150 Paid Memberships.  A trainer can be listed under a specific ZIP once for Free Memberships and up to 2 times per ZIP for Paid Membership.  Each entry of duplicate listings count towards the combined total. 3. When visitors to the site enter a ZIP code to search, the Locator will return 200 ZIP code listings which are the 'closest' based on their geographic center.  12 randomly selected records are displayed from the total list of returned records.  Specific details of the  selection logic, read here.

The primary points of the Locator results:

• Trainers get 1 or more "ZIP code listings" to be found under based on their membership level.
• Trainers can only be listed under any specific ZIP code up to 2 times. (Paid Memberships only.)
• Trainers also list the Maximum Mileage they are willing to travel from those ZIP codes.
• A maximum of 150 "ZIP code listings" can be listed for any specific ZIP code with up to 2 per trainer.
• 12 random picks of the top 200 records (based on location) are displayed.
