Facilities - ZIP Codes and Memberships

This section covers how the Locator works and how the ZIP codes you select to be listed under works. The Locator is based on software code that uses the longitude and latitude of the  ZIP codes and the Pythagorean Theorem. It is not perfectly accurate when dealing with large distances (because it does not take into account the natural curvature of the earth) but unless visitors plan on traveling several hundred miles to you, this method should be more than accurate to suit these purposes.

All Memberships register 1 ZIP code when listing. This ZIP Code is how you will be found in the Locator and does *not* have to be your mailing adress but *does* have to be a ZIP Code where you have a physical location. Visitors will be using mileage as a criteria in order to find your facility. Visitors will enter the maximum number of miles (the radius) that they will travel from that ZIP Code.

Facilities can sign up for a Free Membership.

All memberships are allowed to list 1 ZIP codes but can purchase any additional ZIP Codes they require by becoming a Featured Facility.

Featured Facilities can purchase additional ZIP code listings to be used for either ad placement in the Locator or to add additional facilities.
